September Favorites
[Goodbye September]
Welcome to Literally Haunted’s monthly faves! From discovering new favorites across beauty, books, games and more! Here I’ll be sharing all the things I found myself reaching for a little extra in the month, a few standout products that quickly became my daily staples.
What I’ve been listening to:
* This whole album, still on repeat
What I read in September:
Showstopper by Lily Anderson is a witty nod to theatre and drama kids at heart. This YA read is more than a murder mystery. Very engaging and suspenseful. If you’re into shows like Riverdale and Scooby-Doo, you’ll enjoy this one! Also Im a sucker for a good aesthetic book cover!
In this nuanced queer fantasy set in the Virginias very own Appalachian mountains, Motheater blends folk tale and lit-fic for a bold, evocative debut.
The Autumn Springs Retirement Home Massacre was an absolute treat! A unique slasher where the characters are all senior citizen’s. Equal parts dark humor and heartwarming. If your’e looking for a cozy mystery where the final girl is a badass then pick this one up. Perfect for a spooky-cozy fall tbr because this one is set in October.
[Big thanks to Tor for the ARC]
Jawbone by Monica Ojeda was my overall September fave. It was so f*cking unhinged and wild, which is my cup of tea. Think The Craft meet The Virgin Suicides meets Perfect Blue- but in a girly pop monologue psychological horror type of way.
Add to cart moments:
To be fair, it’s FERAL GIRL FALL
Dr. Martens 8053 ARC Platform Shoes
Kimchi Blue Ruffle Top (Black)
