What I read in October:

Our Share Of Night: is a 2019 horror novel by Argentine author Mariana Enriquez, translated into English by Megan McDowell in 2023, that follows a father and son fleeing a demonic, immortality seeking cult, blending supernatural horror with the political history of Argentina's military dictatorship. The story centers on Juan, a medium for the cult, and his son Gaspar, as they escape the powerful "Order" that wants to claim Gaspar. Exploring themes of love, grief, legacy, and the darkness within families and nations. I’m rating it 3.5/5 stars!
Itch: by Gemma Amor is a darkly creepy crawling feminist folk horror novel who follows Josie whom finds a decaying, ant infested corpse in the woods, leading to a literal and psychological infestation as she uncovers a local mystery tied to folklore and a masked predator. Unsettling, yet poetic. The story blends psychological, folk, and body horror, exploring themes of trauma, female rage, and tradition as Josie confronts her past and a literal swarm of ants that seem to burrow under her skin. A very slow second half and repetitive at times, but overall original. 3/5 stars!
What I Watched:

Lots of re-watches and a few new in the month of January! My most anticipated watch of the year turned out to be a flop- I’m looking at you Return to Silent Hill! Sadly, no standout movies made the cut in faves but a show most definitely did!
I Love LA was a fun time, I binged it in one day and have no regrets. Currently rewatching as we speak! It’s equal parts quirky, relateable, and messy! I’m invested. Also anyone else a fan of Tell Me Lies? I’ve been a fan since season one first came out, a guilty pleasure watch if you will. Well season 3 is here and you bet your ass I’m watching. February fave perhaps??
Home and beauty must haves:
Lush super milk smells amazing and also keeps my hair hydrated, I don’t have curls but a girl can dream….💭
Dieux instant angel is getting me through winter rotting.🪽
🛒 Wishlist moments:
