Welcome to Literally Haunted’s musings of monthly hauntings- Here I’ll be sharing, reviewing and recommending all the things that I found myself loving a little extra in the month + a few standouts that quickly became my daily staples.

Music on repeat: Akira Yamaoka- Theme of Laura (silent hill 2 soundtrack)
What I read in October:
Phantom of the Opera: a Gothic horror novel about a disfigured musical genius, Erik, who haunts the Paris Opera House and becomes obsessed with a young soprano, Christine Daaé, leading to a dangerous love triangle with her childhood friend, Raoul. A classic with plenty of mystery, romance, and horror! 3/5 stars!
Krampus the Yule Lord: Krampus and Santa battle it out in a troubled small town…An atmospheric twist on holiday mythology that trades cozy cheer for magic and menace. This story relies heavily on world building, as Brom reimagines folklore with rich, vivid detail. 4/5 stars! + top read for the month.
Heated Rivalry: Love, love, love! Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid is a gay sports romance about two rival NHL hockey stars, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov who begin a secret relationship despite playing for opposing teams. What starts as intense rivalry and physical attraction slowly turns into deep love over several years, as they struggle with fear, secrecy, and the pressure of being closeted in professional hockey. 4/5 stars!
What I Watched:
Lots of new first time watches and rewatches in December. The Stranger Things finale was mehhhhh 🥱 I did a rewatch of Interview with a Vampire seasons 1-3, fitting for winter…and Most importantly my favorite for the month— HEATED RIVALRY!
Home and beauty must haves:
Loccitane Hand Cream is a must for winter!
About-Face Grand Prix Blush for a cute pinched nose and cheek moment.
Peach & Lily Face Mask I stocked up on these hehe!
Ricola-Cherry I carry these year round but extra during winter , you won’t catch me slipping. I also eat these like candy, sorry not sorry!
